about

This song was written by the ex-vocalist Rakeli. It's primarily about what the chorus is saying: be grateful for the things that you have and take nothing for granted. The latin phrase that used "Respice finem" means "look to the end" or "consider the outcome". Think about what is waiting for you and do something about. If it's not what you want, prove it wrong. If it's good, make it happen.

lyrics

Who has the answer when all here is nothing
When the nothing hasn't crossed our minds
It's the terror of life, it's the horror of art (x2)
One of these days she's coming for you
She's coming for you (x2)
Death comes for the best of us
Death comes for the worst she is graceless
So run and hide
Run and hide
Save yourself while you can
While you can
OH

While you're young, don't forget you're a mortal "respice finem"
Life is fleeting, life is gone
So be grateful for where you are
Be grateful for where you are
Be happy with what you've got
You won't be here forever
and you won't be here for long

GET. UP.

While you're young, don't forget you're a mortal "respice finem"
Life is fleeting, life is gone
So be grateful for where you are

Where you are (x4)

about

Live to Conquer Cedar Rapids, Iowa

We're a Metalcore band out of Cedar Rapids, IA. Formed in the Fall of 2012, we underwent some changes that brought us to the current lineup. I would like to say however, we wouldn't be where we are today if it weren't for the previous members.
